The Dungeons of Stanizka
Tantonta was in a miserable state. He had been locked in this miserable cell for the past two days without communications of any kind. His requests to speak directly with the king had been rebuffed. I was particularly angered that since this was supposed to be a short outing of a day or two, no one at the Estate except Caleshpa even knew that we were gone. This was just great! I turned to Zyndal for an explanation and found him engaged in a whispered conversation with Tantonta......Davutus

The Court of Stanizka
Arriving at the palace, we were promptly escorted to the captain of the guards. Upon our asking for Tantonta, the Wizard of the Court, the captain had us escorted immediately to the wizard's quarters, a cell in the dungeon! There we found Tantonta, chained to a wall of his cell. We were flabbergasted. No amount of protestations would release us from this predicament. We demanded to speak with the captain of the guards, but it was hopeless........Davutus

So much has happened this past week, it's mind-boggling! Since I last posted, Zyndal returned from a mysterious undertaking and he and I left for a quick trip to Stanizka. His purpose in this adventure was to attempt a meeting with an old acquaintance of his in the royal court. No security issues, he said, so Basio, who was out of the country anyway, would not be needed. His calculations were a bit off the mark.........Davutus

This week has simply flown by! Preparations for our upcoming trip have been a nightmare. Caleshpa and Xanthe have both requested to go and I had thought that it would be a short excursion of a day or two. Basio has returned to Europe for a short, necessary visit and Zyndal left several days ago and hasn't been heard from since! More music needs to be released and the time is flying! This Past Weekend
Many things have prevented me from posting anything this past weekend. There are a number of new tracks being released in the near future, and so my time in the studio was necessary. Also, our planned trip to the land of the ancient Aztecs is in full preparation with Basio being the point man in that endeavor. More on all these events will be posted in the near future.....Davutus

Crevice in the Rocks (Conclusion)
Strange rock formations and muted colors embedded in the walls surrounded us as we slowly crept down the narrow passageway. The pathway into the darkness ahead was forbidding, but Zyndal was in the lead with his shining staff and Basio held a flickering torch. Dancing shadows on the cavern walls and strange whispering sounds floating around us gave a sense of uneasiness. The music track of this name describes the eerie sensations we felt as our own world was left behind. This story continues in "The River of Forgetfulness"....Davutus

Crevice in the Rocks (Pt.4)
A narrow pathway opened before us, descending into the darkness below. Zyndal took the lead, but even by the light from his staff, we were only able to see several feet in front of us. Sounds of trickling water and tantalizing whispers in the air surrounded us, while the crunching of sand and rock beneath our feet was our only other accompaniment as we made our way into the unknown. Zyndal sternly warned us about the hypnotic sounds and cautioned us to watch our footing....Davutus

Crevice in the Rocks (Pt. 3)
After another hour of futile searching, and with tempers growing short, we sadly decided to return home. Walking back to the Vortex, Zyndal suddenly realized that we were in a different area of the canyon than he had originally charted. Retracing his steps, he quickly found his original markings on the stones. The crevice was almost hidden from sight by two immense boulders. Squeezing between them, we happily stepped into the coolness of the cave and waited for our eyes to adjust to the dim light. Strange whispering sounds beckoned us into the darkness below......Davutus

This Past Weekend
On Sunday, Caleshpa, Xanthe, Ryannus and I made a visit to the Oregon coast. The rolling sea and the sunshine was the perfect combination for a restful day. Zyndal and Basio had also planned to join us, but events at the Estate kept them from this much anticipated vacation......Davutus
