In the Tower

Creeping quietly along, we made our way through the dim passageway, hoping that we were not discovered by patrolling guards. Trying to find a way in had been difficult enough, but now to find the correct cell seemed an almost impossible task.

The dungeons were honeycombed with paths and the feeble torchlight was hardly enough to enable us to see our way ahead. Just when we thought that this perilous journey had been for nothing, we heard a soft voice singing a song of lament. She knew instantly that it was Duke Angrela, and keeping as close to the wall as we could, we finally discovered the cell door.

Near the top of the door was a small panel, opened from the outside for communication with the prisoner inside, and drawing it back, we found the duke, chained to the far wall. He was in a pitiable state, but the sight of two friends was enough to bring him to his feet. My first thought was to try to release him from this misery, but seeing that it would be impossible, I sorrowfully stepped away to allow the princess a bit of privacy, all the while keeping an eye on the corridor before us.

A rescue operation must be put into place at once if we were to save the duke and the kingdom! The music of this track is a heartfelt hope for the princess and her love............Davutus
